+ Patent Analyst/Engineer

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced candidate to join Scenera Research's licensing team as a Patent Analyst/Engineer for conducting patent infringement analysis against competing networking and communications products and services. The Patent Analyst/Engineer will report directly to the company's General Counsel and will be responsible for:

  • Technical analysis and reverse engineering of competitive products and services to obtain evidence of patent infringement
  • Legal analysis of applicable patents to assess degree of infringement of competing products and services
  • Documenting evidence of patent infringement (e.g., preparing claims charts, presentations, and the like)

Essential Requirements:

  • 2+ years networking software development/test experience and/or network engineering experience, preferably in the wireless Telco/handset industries
  • Registered patent agent and/or 3+ years of patent infringement analysis experience
  • High degree of knowledge of Internet and related communication protocols
  • B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent through work experience

  • Detail-oriented and be able to provide complete documentation
  • Possess strong communication, organization, and writing skills

+ Research Fellow/Research Scientist

Scenera Research has openings for Research Fellows and permanent research staff members. Prospective Research Fellows must provide a project proposal.

Areas of particular interest to Scenera Research include: imaging; streaming media; operating systems, especially memory management; user interfaces for handheld devices; computer architecture; Internet protocols and architecture; and geospatial applications and networks.

Scenera is open to funding research in other areas related to computer networking, hardware, and software.

 

+ Business Research Analyst/Special Projects Manager

Scenera is seeking a Business Research Analyst and Special Projects Manager.

  Primary activities will include:
  • Business reconnaissance and research
  • Identification and strategy outline
  • Idea vetting & brainstorming sessions
  • Participation in business negotiations
  • Business case development for projects
  • Business plan development
  • Proposals and recommendations
  • Contract negotiations
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with wireless, Internet and imaging markets
  • Understanding of basic accounting
  • Experience working with attorneys
  • Participation in transactions and forming business
    partnerships
